1/9 National Vision Board Day
I am going to take this opportunity to #1 show you some beautiful vision boards #2 the importance and #3 how to make one.
It is extremely important to make a wedding vision board before you book and vendors. You really need to see the whole picture of everything together to make sure it looks cohesive and flows well together. for example, you would not book your venue at a barn if you were going for a lux European style wedding, the two just simply do not go together.
It can also help when booking a photographer. if your vision board is all very light and bright, you do not want to book a photographer that has a dark and moody editing style. pick a photographer who's Instagram looks like your vision board.
When making a vision board its important to get images that have a wide variety of images. For example, the vision boards I make typically have bridal party outfits, flowers, a photo with part of your dream venue, a wedding dress and some sort of photo from a ceremony.
When you have all the parts to a wedding in the vision board its easy to plan and vendor source. you have a compas to point you in the right direction. TIP: if it doesn't fit the vibe of the wedding vision board your day will not look cohesive.
